I have 3 children, the oldest was born in 1971,1973,1985.ex husband took me to court for visitation and he was told to pay 30.00 a week. Needless to say I abided by the courts and the kids saw their dad every other weekend...but did I get any child support' NO'. Now he is a crack head and knows how to get the money for that but not to help take care of his kids. My last child with him was born with cancer and went through 4 major surgeries before the age of 8 and still no support, the first 2 operations she was in the hospital for 6 weeks and he saw her approximately 4 times...still no support. Finally I left New York in 1987 and raised my children by working 3 jobs, and he owes over 25,000.00. I thought that was a felony after 10,000,but they don't do a thing. He cashed in his life INS policies and wasn't caught...he works off the books...so he doesn't get caught.... amazing what some men will do not to pay! But my children are better for it, they know what the struggle is all about cause now they have their own children...and 'THEY TAKE CARE OF THEM' everyday of their lives and I am very proud of that.
