You can't get money from an unemployed disabled man
by: Anonymous

That man is not responsible for you being homeless. I am a woman als pays child support and it is support not income. The court goes through tax returns, dividends, and everything else to assess child support. He doesn't have the money.
Your best bet is to hire a private investigator to prove that he has more than $10k to give to your children. Otherwise, keep a job and accept that he's broke.
And let him see his kids.

B.S. is CORRECT!
by: B.S. Hound

You complain that you're not getting anything from this man, yet acknowledge that he is out on disability. You allege that he makes 90k a year, yet is not getting anything from the insurance company. Your complaints would hold more water if you dogged him less, and pointed out the failure of the system in relation to your children (not you, because it IS all about the children).

Just as Frustrated.
by: Bryna

It is not just New York! My ex comes from a wealthy family and works under the table, deliberately! I have been fighting for justice for over 5 years, he owes me over 48,000.00! They keep telling me that there is nothing they can do..B.S! He skipped the state to evede child support; that is a felony.. so, now I have filed a Federal case, hoping for the best!
I cannot give you any advice but I can understand your frustration; I just wanted to let you know that it is not just in New York! I am in Iowa and he is in Texas....the Justice system is no longer just!
Good luck.
