Case by Case

by Racheal

I know that there are dads out there that don't want to support or spend time with their children, but not all are like this. Frankly, I am tired of the outright bias that the court systems show to the mother. I am a woman and I know that most people don't understand this. I am also married to a man that rarely gets to spend time with his son. We have a son of our own and he is such a wonderful father. I know that there is a lot of hurt that goes along with divorce, but no matter how badly my husband ever hurt me... I love my son enough to always want him to have a close relationship with his father. I am just so tired of courts and people thinking the only responsibility that a father has toward his child is money. My husband pays $1200 a month in child support. His ex-wife is remarried and they make more money than we do, so I seriously doubt that they even need that much for one child. We on the other hand can't pay our medical bills for our disabled child. Please tell me how that is right!
