If the case was filed in Texas, they wil track him down. As one person put it "Texas don't play". Honestly, it doesn't matter where the person lives or work. It's up to the state to which the case was originally filed. If you haven't done so, then you need to open a case with the state handling your divorce. By law, states must work together to track these peope down and make them pay.
If the case was opened in Texas, they will automatically tap his payroll no matter where he works as long as he is not being paid under the table.
Trust me, I'm a non custodial parent myself and have had to tranfer jobs a few times. Although it's my responsibility to keep them informed of my whereabouts, as soon as I show up on a payroll, they tap in without any required action from me.

Same Situation by: Anonymous
I am going through a similar situation and it seems impossible to collect from an ex that lives out of state from you (it was even difficult when he lived in the same state as me). I am stuck also, so if you have any luck and hear anything that could help let me know and I'll do the same. Good Luck!!
