Child Support is Oppressive

I am a divorced father of a now 19 year old daughter. I started out paying child support and did so on an off as my checks were garnished. I read about men quiting work to avoid paying child support and I think whoever thinks that this is the reason a man stops working is totally off base. In the case of a person making money it is a blessing to have income. Usually when a check is garnished the money missing is no worse that taxes being taken. So, I don't believe that men quit making money and are content to not be legitimately earning money. This is bull. The custodial parent never allowed my daughter to have a relationship with me or my family that she could not directly control. She may stop by here or there with my child when they were in town but that was it outside of a phone call or two. The result is a nearly grown child that is not comfortable with my side of the family. I blame the jackasses who run child support as they empowered one parent and criminalized the other one. If you lack money and/or education and your ability to pay is not consistent there is no other recourse for you except to be punished. I have paid so much money as a result of suspended liscenses and bail that I am exhausted with the system and just accept the fact that I am now a criminal; if they catch me, because I can't get out of this mess that has me out of work, with no license, and I have not filed taxes in years. I know this will hurt in the long run but fuck it, just fuck it. The mother has exploited her position and no matter what I attempted to do I've lost because I have no relationship with my child just debt.

WHAT ABOUT THE FATHERS THAT GOT UP AND TOOK CARE OF THE BABY AND DID EVERYTHING YOUR SAYING WOMEN DO AND MORE, I HAVE MY KID 50/50 EVERY OTHER WEEK AND PAY FOR INSURANCE AND GIVE HER MONEY ON THE SIDE AND WE HAVE A 50/50 SPLIT BUT YET I WAS PUT ON CHILD SUPPORT AFTER 2 YEARS CAUSE SHE DECIDED SHE WANTED A NEW CAR!!! I HAVE MY KID 6 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR MY SON LOVES ME MORE THAN HIS MOTHER AND I NEVER EVEN ASK HIM EVERYONE KNOWS AND CAN TELL. BUT YET SINCE IM JUST A MAN ALL WE ARE TO YOU WOMEN ARE BANK ACCOUNTS!!! I LOVE MY KID AND WOULD GIVE HIM EVERYTHING I HAVE. TO HIM NOT TO HIS MOTHER SO SHE CAN GET A NEW CAR. BUT DO YOU THINK THE COURT SAYS WAIT A MINUTE LOOK AT THIS FATHER HE TAKES CARE OF HIS KID 6 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR HE PAYS FOR ALL HIS MEDICAL. AND HE EVEN GIVES THE MOTHER MONEY JUST SO WHEN HE IS WITH HER AND HE WANTS SOMETHING HE CAN HAVE IT. NO NOT NO BUT HELL NO SO NOW IM GOING TO BE PUT ON CHILD SUPPORT AND HAVE TO LIVE LIKE AN ANIMAL PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK. OH AND THE MESSED UP THING IS SHE BEGGED ME FOR CHILDREN THE SYSTEM IS BENT AND MEN ARE SLAVES TO IT!

Child support agencies nationwide are screwed up and the federal government supports them. I pay $1,000 each month in child support which consumes roughly around a third of my income. I have no quams about taking care of my children, however, the way that the child support agency handles my case is incredibly brutal. Just the other night, I was at the casino and hit a $2,600 jackpot. "Of course I'm thinking that my children were going to have a good Christmas this year." How bout' the casino could not pay me the jackpot because the child support agency intercepted it for arrears. I am making favorable payments and had only gotten behind when I was out of work. I live from paycheck to paycheck scraping just to keep my lights on. The one time I thought that I would have money to make a descent Chistmas for my children, all my winnings were taken from me. TRUST...this is not the worse to happen to me dealing with the child support agency!

All of your whimpy comments make me sick. All you talk about is money. Who gave birth to YOUR child? Who was up all night when YOUR child was sick? Who fed your lazy fat azz? That's what's wrong with the world today. Men are lazy, whining b1tches who only think of their money. Sue their azzes ladies. I hope you can get all that you want and need. I don't need to say to much. My friend from Savannah, GA sounds like he's lived my life or living my life. I'm heading to court now with my ex to try and get some type of justice. I don't need them to put her down or punish her because I didn't get my visitation rights, that's all over now I've moved on. I just want justice for me so that can I move on with my life from here out without her in my pockets and on my credit report. I've had the same problems everyone is stating on here. Just stay positive and keep your life moving up that's what I've done and continue to do. This child support system needs a make over asap! Too many people are suffering because of the punishment they are putting on the paying parent no what your situation is. Lets hope some law maker makes a move on this issue soon. BTW, the State of Missouri is probably the worst!! They should be brought upon charges and the judges who force the states decisions without making sure everyone is getting the best out of the system.

Most child support systems in the country don't care if the MAN lives up under a ROCK (like a caveman) and eats TUNA!!! (as long as the mother can get child support, Dept of Human Services asst., state sponsored rent assistance.)

BUT! MEN PAY WHAT THE LAW SAYS, THAT CHILD DIDN'T ASKED TO BE BROUGHT IN THIS WORLD, THEY JUST WANT TO ENJOY IT WITH THE REST OF US!!!

they dont even care if mothers or child is killed over child support as long as they have control over you thats all they worried about.they dont care about your welfare or what you go through or how you life if affected.thats why there are terrorist because they are saying we are not going to be controled.how you going to tell another person that somebody elses life is more important than yours that for you to decide not the govermant

ok so ive living with this guy and had girl friends who has we say have dead beat dads ive seen both now my guy got a real bum rap he stayed with his child til he was 18 and didnt even love the mom just the child and since his dad died when he was 2yrs old he wanted more for his son so he put up with a woman he could barely stand they lived last in aka he told her there whole marriage itd be over when the kid turned 18 well he left them in aka went back down to lower 48 states she sold all his stuff before he could get it and i mean all clothes stuff his dad left him his truck five years later she has a car the son has a car he uses my car and 2200 a month comes out of his check a month also the child is 23 now so its back pay hes payed along even when he was out on a back injure for 2 yrs went to court for down load and judge order lower payments support wont do it .so weres his rights

AS for the original story, I feel for you bro.
I am in a delima now due to the child support agency over riding court orders to do as they feel fit.
As for the voices being heard, you might as well scream at the wall cause thats all the response you will get.
If you want to be heard it needs news attention.
Us men need to take it to the supreme court and have our side handled as "fairly" as they have handled the womens/Child suppost agency side.
In the end its to no use.
Not until this current government has been fixed.

I truly don't know what to say: but it's time for all of those parents who have been unfairly treated by the system and their ex-spouse ex-partners or whatever,to take a stand to a higher court. Our voices need and have to be heard. One thing that truly must be understood is; we as so called adults will need an mediator because on both sides of this spectrum we have alot of hurtful things that have taken place and none of it has been resolve, even if it can be, because as I know for a fact the the truth the fact WILL BE DISTORTED ON BOTH SIDES. Many won't look at this the way many of us have experience. The court doesn't and I mean DON'T care about you and your problem they want your money. There is going have to be something set up soon for our voice can and will be heard but most of all ACTION will take place. I agree this is not any help at all but from the stories I have read from different palaces of the US. The stories ALL have the same theme. Many times we have to start with self.

you are exactly right ,but yeah it will catch up to you and they will try to put you in prison ,They tried it with me once I becae disabled I was ot able to pay anymore and they tried to put me in prison for a child I don't even know! I got out of it because I was able to show I paid untill I got injured so thank God for that or else I would be sitting in prison right now! Good luck to you I know if you do the best you can then savor that fact and try as hard as you can to get into your childs life before it gets to far gone!
