Child Support Lifer

I do believe in supporting my children. After finding my wife in bed with my ex best friend, I divorced. Of coarse she got custody of my two children. I remarried a few years later and moved to California for work. It was great. I paid to have my children out for summers and all vacations, we filled there suit cases full of clothes for the trip home( they always came with no clothes). My ex wife decided that she wanted more money since my son was pushing 16 and his child support checks came to an end. She hired an attorney to review our divorce papers. There was a statement in the divorce paper which said child support was $350 per child or 9 percent of my gross pay. Moving to California I was a heavy Equipment Operator and did make good money. I never missed a child support payment and always sent extra money along with clothes.
They are my children.(I think) The California court system did not see it that way. They requested a copy of all my tax returns (per my ex wife's lawyer) and charged me with a retroactive judgement of $65,000 for a 10 year period. Even though I had been paying monthly all along. I had a % taken out of my check every month and currently still owe $32,000. My children are 28 and 31, I am still paying child support. I am 55 have been doing odds & end jobs for 5yrs barely making 2500 per month. I just recieved my drivers licience back and was told even if I can only pay $100 per month to pay something and everything will be ok. NOT TRUE. I put my 2500 check in the bank today and the child support system of California siezed it. Now I can not pay my montly bills. When is it going to be enough for the State and my ex wife. It seems like I should of been a dead beat dad. What good did it do for me to follow the rules. I do not even now what to do or where to go from this point. Everyone, everywhere is stuggling to make a living.
