I have a 3 year old son, who was left by his father was two weeks old. I have been fighting with DHS. I get no assistance because I have a degree and live with my mother, I can not afford to live elsewhere. Father had a contempt order for nonpayment. Recently, Child Support vacated and recalled the bench warrant and cut the child support owed by 5,000.00 How can they do that? Why do they take money from my child constantly? You will love this....today when I asked about the situation at hand, they asked me if I had received the letter explaining everything,

I asked what letter.....get this.....they mailed it today. HECK NO I have not read it. I would cry constantly if some of the stuff that is done wasn't so outrageous and 'are you kidding me' stuff.

I would rather have nothing to do with Child support than to deal with the mushroom crap. (keeping me in the dark and feeding me crap) > and yes, I am looking into having case closed with child support, of course there will be no medical for my baby if I do that. Does that make me negligient? In their eyes, probably. I am just tired of the surprises.

Don't ever call with a question, they are very rude and hostile when dealing with you. I called everyday hoping to find out information. Out of all the people I talked to, I have only had two decent people talk to me. Why is that? We are stressed enough trying to make ends meet, dealing with a low life who ran out of the child's life while they are finding new ways to work the system.

I know we all have rights. However, if the man walks out, and cheats the child repeatedly, why keep giving him chances. (I would be saying the same if it were the woman doing this) As a mother, if you abandon your child, what happens? Should not the same consequences apply to the father?

I don't understand how or why they would protect a person and make it easier on them when they don't even think about the baby. This totally BLOWS.

I wish I had never contacted Child Support. I would rather the man just walk away than deal me stress like this.
