Confused

by Mrs. Flo

How can you collect back child support when your kid's are out of school already? My ex has a settelment coming from hurting his shoulder at work. He owes me 35,000 in back support and the State money also from when I was on assistance because he would not help pay for anything for the children. For the last 8yrs he has told the courts he was going to pay off what he owes me when he gets his settelment, so there for I have recieved $24.00 a month for 2 kids and thats only sometimes. The ex has just bought his 2 brand new vehicle and is taking me to court to make sure that when he gets his settlement the State gets paid before me. Which they probably will anyways. I know my ex is still doing the same kind of work he is saying he can no longer do and is disabled, which is fraud. But some how he keeps squeezing by the courts. I think it's been because I've been to nice and have not pushed the support issue because if I do then we do not get along, if I leave it alone we get along fine and the kids don't suffer. I'm tired of being taken advantage of and don't know where to go from here! Any suggestions?
