MY X AND I HAVE BEEN DIVORCED FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS... MY X OWES ME $20,000 IN CHILD SUPPORT, AND HAS NEVER CARRRIED INSURANCE ON MY CHILD. AT OUR LAST COURT HEARING I DROPED $10,000 OFF OF HIS OWINGS... HE THEN OWED $10,000. THE JUDGE THEN TOLD HIM HE WAS ON COMMUNITY PROBATION!!! AND IF HE THEN MISSED ANOTHER PAYMENT HE WOULD GO TO JAIL!! WELL, HE IS BEHIND AGAIN!! AND BY THE TIME OUR NEXT COURT DATE TAKES PLACE IN 2 MOS, HE WILL BE $14,000 BEHIND AGAIN!!! THE THING THAT GETS ME IS.. I DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO NEVER LET MY CHILD KNOW THAT WE ARE "BROKE" I HAVE A FULL TIME JOB WORKING 48 HRS A WEEK.. AND I CARRY FULL DENTAL VISION AND MEDICAN INSURACE ON MY CHILD... WE HAVE A HOME AND ARE VERY BLESSED BUT, HIS FATHER DESERVES TO BE BAHIND BARS... NEVER GETTING A JOB NOR KEEPING IT.. HE TOLD ME AT OUR DIVORCE HEARING HE WOULD MAKE MY LIFE A LIVING HELL, AND NEVER PAY AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO ABOUT IT... HE NEEDS TO BE PUT IN JAIL... WHY?? WHY?? DO THEY KEEP SLAPPING HIS WRIST AND LETTING HIM WALK AWAY BEING A DEAD BEAT DAD? WHY!!!!

Demands on CSE
by: Anonymous

Contact the federal child support office to see if your case meets the criteria for criminal non-support due to the monies owed. There is a benchmark under the federal statutes that must be met. Please research these laws to see if they apply. Call the child support office daily about enforcement of your case. File complaints on their website. Don't give up. Being proactive and and a pain in the a** pays off. Put the Attorney General's office on speed dial. Request by email that a response occur on your inquiries within 15 days of transmission. Read on the internet child support laws under Title IV-D. Make the child support case worker assigned to your case to utilize every administrative action available under the scope of this law. Read everything available on the Texas OAG website and utilize it. Search on the web Texas child support laws. Be proactive and get your money! Remeber the old theory...the person that screams the loudest gets the attention.

Advocate for yourself

To the biggest joke;
Why is your ex-husband not on the most wanted list with the attorney general's office for failure to pay court-ordered child support? Have you looked into contacting the federal child support office for criminal non-support? You meet the criteria for prosecution of your ex-husband under this law. Please research federal child support laws and raise hell with the attorney generals child support office handling your case. Email them on their complaint form. Call daily and ask for a case worker to explain "why" the non-custodian has not been arrested for violation of probation. Force them to sign affavidavit of failure to pay current and back child support. Demand they have him picked up.

I understand
by: Anonymous

I understand exactly what you are dealing with. The child support system is a joke....whether the man are losers or not does not justify them not helping support their children. I have two children and the last time we went to court which was abotu 2 years ago he was $12,000 behind and I was trying to be nice like you and dropped $6,000 of it. That still wasn't good enough for him but oh well. He too is on probation and not paying anying but the probation office will not do anything about it. THe system needs to seriously be redone!!!!!!!!

Confused
by: Anonymous

I just don't get it. All you women complaing about not getting child support must have been involved with losers to begin with. Because I have done the right thing and maintained a decent job, the bitch I was married to cheated several times, had an abortion from another guy, and was caught snacking on another woman's private parts by my son. Guess what? For getting an education and being successful, it now cost me $1200.00 a month plus health care for one child. My job automatically deducts the amount from my pay check because the state ordered them too. So, how is it that the state is not sending orders to your ex husbands place of employment? All I can say is that the amount will continue to build and these deadbeats will never be free. 6 more years and that pathetic little whore I was married to will be flat broke and have no one to sponge off of. I hope to see her dead or in poverty some day.

the biggest joke
by: Anonymous

I can only tell you that I have been fighting with my sons father for 20 years now, He is still 20,000 behind and he was put on 10 years probation over 4 years ago and has yet to make his payments. I am now told that since my son is over the age of 18 they can no longer do anything to his father except suspend his license if he doesnt pay. Me and my child have been thru hell trying to get the support and the Attorney Generals Office could not give a care. If you ask me their system is a BIG JOKE

Money being tight
by: Anonymous

I think it is ok to let your child know that money is tight, but don't let them know it is tight because of not getting the support. Hang in there, it will get better.
