Custodial Parent/Mother

by Tiffany
(Florida)

The laws in Florida suck! I have been divorced for 7 years and have been in and out of court, wasting my time and money. I can no longer afford an attorney, so I do everything by myself. The former husband owes in excess of $35,000.00. He has hidden all of his monies, accounts and says he does not work, has not filed income taxes, etc. He get's away with it, because I cannot prove anything. Let me ask you this..How does he support himself? He continually lies in court and gets away with it and he still has his parental rights even though he has been convicted of a DUI and was intoxicated with our 2 boys (it will be 3 years ago in Aug 2010) in his boat and was arrested for a BUI.

I would like to know why they have different laws from state to state. I feel the laws regarding child support should be the same in every state an if you don't pay you don't get to see the children. The laws in the state of Florida need to be changed. We should have a website for dead-beat dads and post there pictures and personal information, like they do child molesters. Taking their driver's license away is a joke...people drive all the time with suspended and revoked driver's license's.

Maybe the state should have private investigater's working too. Recently, my older child does not want to spend time with his father and the younger child, does not want to go unless the older child does. Am I supposed to force my boys to go with there father? I will not, I am there mother and I will protect them at all costs!
