I think we should all consult an attorney to see if they could sue if we started a facebook page for dead beats and just state the truth of who they are and what they owe....that might wake some people up!

I understand these womens's frustration. I had previously posted that my ex owes over $7000...he now owes $15,00+. He received a slap on the hand in court because he gave a sob story about attending college. He was given a sentence of weekends only. He has since quit college and now has a warrant for his arrest for not turning himself in to do his time. WHEN will these courts open their eyes and CARE!?!? During this time, my ridiculous case worker sends me a modification letter. THey just reduced the amount he owes a month by $100. I know that NOTHING from NOTHING is still nothing....but when do they do anything that is in the children's benefits instead of the fathers? If you have a lazy and/or innefficient case worker...name them here. Maybe they'll see their name and WAKE UP! Mine is Adelia Meyer.

Upstate NY is saying for years that they are doing alot to get dead beats to pay, this is a LIE!! I have been in this system for ten years trying to get 18000.00 dollars at first they give him a suspended 90sentence when he was 10K in arrears, we proved in court he was willfully not paying, his former employer testified that he was asked by the dead beat to pay him in two seperate checks so he could hide income. He has quit several manager jobs to become a waiter in restuarants. Now after 5 years he has transferred his case to a different county simply by moving his mail, and going before a new court with the same BS all over again, all I do is spend money on lawyers to try to get money the courts never make him pay, the saying between lawyers is"you cant get money from a stone" so what do they do, they purposely make themselves stones. This lack of support over the years has changed both my boys and who they are and I can tell you this IT HAS NOT MADE THEM STRONGER, because they see the lack of emotional and financial support they get from him and it hurts them. They also are deprived of me since I have had to work several jobs at a time to try to make ends meet. This man made over 100K ayear when we were married. This is very very disgusting to me and the people that are involved in these schemes should be ashamed. I don't know how these people sleep at night!! They are all narcissists and sociopaths, how could they not be, only normal people kind loving people would not allow this to continue to happen to the children in this country. This guy is so good a manipulation he actually has old girlfriends putting his cell phone in their name and also taking there mail. What kind of woman helps a man not pay his support and hide income...sick!!!

I have 2 grown children and have tried to collect the child support from their dead beat father for over 20 years, and NO SUCCESS here neither. He is in arrears of over $76,000. and is ordered to only pay 200 a month! havent seen anything yet. I dont think the state wants to help due to they dont get any of this money because i worked and am still working for a living. and made $5.00 too much to recieve any assistance. But yet he was sentenced to 45 days in jail or pay 600.00 to get released and got released anyways due to being over-crowded. I dont know what to do!!!

I sympathize with the fathers who do care for their children and are active in their lives, but it is NOT just about money. Does the money help? Yes! As I said earlier my ex owes his sons (not me) over $7,000...it's now around $8,000 since I first commented on this page. Can you imagine how far that money could go to help my oldest in his first year of college? He'd like to have his truck we bought him painted (it needs it), I would love to be able to do that for him but I can't. Please stop insinuating it's all about the money... it's about the opportunities it can afford and the things that it can help accomplish.

my daughter had a child and and moved out from her mother but they still damand that i pay child support. first of all she wouldn't have had this child if the courts let me see her. now i dont live in the US and i can not come back because i owed 23,000 why? some fahters need to me i am a father and love love my children but the goverment destroyed that . they see money not love not family.

Why is it that my fiancee pays $650 a month and they want to increase to $750. When his daughter's mother won't let him see his daughter! He has visitation rights and he's going to have to put his foot down! She bashes him and call's him a dead beat dad! How is he a dead beat dad when she's getting support? She bashes him on myspace and on don't date him! There should be a law for this types of behavior! What can the man do?

I have a similar situation. My boys are 16 and 14. Their dad owes over $7000 in child support. He was recently placed in a halfway house. While he was in there, we received some payments. They let him out early and we haven't seen a payment since. My case worker, Adelia Myers, is a joke. She has more excuses for why she can't file a contempt case against him in court than she has reasons why she sympathizes with him! Why isn't she fighting for my kids instead of fighting to cover her butt?! Come on government... GET WITH IT and nail these deadbeat dads!

I would like to comment on that. My husband pays half of child support to the oldest child because he wanted to live with his grandparents (which is my husband parents) and the other half is to be paid by the dead beat mother(which she owes over $3000) to them. Now on the other hand we have custody of the 2 youngest and she owes us over $3000. Child support has done nothing to her either. We go to court in (Madison County)April for the child support. My husband got behind $258.00 and they were ready to take his license.

I know this needs to be stopped. These men get away with this because they allow them too. I suggest everyone start writing attorney generals the capital even the President. Like Obama said its time for change.
