My daughter is owed over 60,000 in child support. They have three girls 10, 12 and 14 When they first split up he left the state, and was out of their lives (except a few phone calls) He was going to mechaince school (Which I am sure his father paid for.) He got a job and his wages were attached and she got support for about a year. Then he got fired. This man has been in our lives for over 15 years and has never really heald down a job. He was aways getting fired. My daughter has been the one working and supporting the family. Now he has moved back to our state. My daughter didn't want to deprive their father from seeing his girls and they had a casual arrangment. Then he got married, and moved into the apt. above by daughter's. The girls did not like going to their dad because they said hsi wife supposly was mean and rude to them. Alot of things have happened with the girls and he blames my daughter. One daughter is haveing a hard time in school because of all this. (She loves her and wants to vist, and my daughter allows it but I know she is feeling torn between her mom and dad. Anyway twice now he has filed for custody, because my daughter tries to have social life. He claims she yells at them all the times. She does yell at them, but does not hit them. She's not suppose to have male friends He claim she leaves the children alone all night, which is not true. I live close by and also my other daughter, their aunt) They have spent many nights with one of us.
Now he is trying to get custody, and we know it's mainly so they can get welfare. Neither one of them works, and I don't even think he is looking for a job. I also feel that it is the new wife that is doing this. She wrote a 72 page complaint.
Basically saying everything they went through the firt time. Now my daughter has to go to court again. She has a friend that wrote the response to his custody suit. At mediation he said he just wanted the 12 year old because she is the only one that wants to vist him. The 14 year old will not vist him at all and rarely talks to him on the phone, we know this is because of his current wife. My daughter and I both have tried to get her to visit him but she refuse.
The point is this man has no job, can't hold a job when he gets one. Owes so much money in child support it isn't even funny.
My daughter can't get get him in front of a child suppot judge becase of budjet cuts. So she was told. All I know is when my current husband was unemployed because his Drivers Lisence was up for suspenion (He was a truck driver) because of child suppot arrages. the judge ordered the suspension lifed but he was told to find work in a month or his lisence would be the worst
of his problems, and his back child support was only about 8000.00 and he always made some paymnet each month to show good faith. And it is finally paid off in full
I Really think our "Family Court Suytem is a joke.
