Disabled Veteran

by Rita
(Arkansas)

I am the wife of a Veteran that is currently in jail for non payment of child support from the state of California. His wife at the time while he was in service got pregnant from another man.

He has been considered disabled since he got out of the service in 1991. Shortly after that he his ex wife had taken him to court for divorce and child custody. While in court she lied about him and his character numerous time, and never having to provide evidence of any of the acquisitions that she presented. The judge then took away all his right to the children and ordered him to pay child support of 150 dollars while at the time all he was drawling from disability was about 190 dollars. He has been paying child support on both children even though the oldest of the two children is not his. The biological father of the oldest child which is not my husbands does not have to pay child support for his child and visitation rights to him.

Like I said before my husband in now in jail because they raised his child support to an amount that we can not afford to pay. Also we have tried to explain to the child support enforcement and to the judges that he has no rights and has not got to see his children in the last 15 years, and that the oldest child is not his. But as always they do not care as long as she gets her money.

If anyone knows of anyway I can get help to fight his case I would appreciate any information you can provide. Please e-mail me at hes_bunny@yahoo.com
