Divorce requires both parents to pay child support

by Sam O'Neal
(Jonesboro, Arkansas)

I had to get away from my son's mother, her mother took over guardinship of my son. The divorce decree states that myself and his mother are to pay weekly, equal amount. Not long after that the her mother signed up for child support...I have been paying my part every week. A renewal of income came up so they took me to court to increase my child support. The judge doubled my support but said nothing about the mother paying...I even brought the divorce decree. Her mother stated that the mom was paying her fair share and she didnt have to have the child support for her. Now she lied in court stating that her daughter has paid every week....but forgot to mention that she was in prison for a couple of years. I showed my income taxes which was low...and the judge told me to go get a job at McDonalds! I also went back and looked..the mother of my son had a case opened at the same time her mother had a case opened on me...this was 1 year like this and I have the paperwork..What can I do?
