Downfall of humanity

by Brandon
(Luke AFB, AZ)

Very recently I went through my child support case by way of telephonic appearance due to being active duty military. I have no money for a lawyer and was left to fend for myself with little respect shown to me. I have been in the Air Force for five years and have a base pay of $2200 a month. My child support has been set at $2311 a month. The reason for this is because I am payed BAH which in my case, goes directly back to the government. In turn it raised my child support obligation by 60%. In my specific situation I will be receiving $0.00 paychecks until I can afford to get help. On top of all this I owe from 2008-2010 child support because she filed for it while we were still married. Does anyone else feel like I am getting the wrong end of the stick? Is there anyone out there that can help me? FYI I forgot to mention my ex works for AMR (American Medical Response) and is paid $22.80 an hour. Not including overtime worked she still makes almost $10-15k more than me a year. Also, I have not seen my two children since 2009. I need help, laws need to be changed for those of us that risk our lives once a year to defend those laws only to be taken advantage of by the very same we fight to protect. Thank you for reading my sob story. I know I am not the only one. If there are any others in my situation please email me at rrrider06@yahoo.com. I will be writing a bill to send to Senator Tom Berryhill to try to bring some light on what is happening in this great state. I am also trying to write a bill for itemized spending from monies earned from child support. Any helpers and advisers please contact me.
