I have been through the ringer and then some when it comes to child support help. My ex husband has a court ordered wage withholding from his paycheck weekly. My problem is that the employer where he works won't send the payments weekly...which they were court ordered to do weekly. I have called the employer, wrote concerned e-mails and had my attorney last year send them a reminder of their obligation. The employer is very rude and non chalant and on one phone conversation stated that she was just to busy and she would get around to sending when she had time. I am very frustrated and wish the employer would do the right thing...I know I can take them to court for contempt and probably be able to get a theft charge but financially I can't afford the attorney and filing fees....does anyone have any suggestions or a story like mine?
WHAT??? No I'm not outa my mind...just sick of the games. by: Anonymous
In response to comment...this employer was court ordered to send wage withholding order weekly. A employer by law can't withhold sending payment...it isn't their money to hold onto...plus its considered theft. I'm in Indiana and thats the law here. I'm just sick of dealing with the whole child support system...

In all the time I been through this CS BS, I have never heard of an employer sending the Childsupport weekly. They are required to send a lump sum every month . Now if you are not reciving any thing every month then yes the employer is in trouble, By why do you need an attorney the Childsupport acency is to represent you and the child.
