First off I will say Im father currently paying off a debt to child support system My child is a adult now, I have been treated like a deadbeat dad with this system rather current or not on support obligation, I lost my career several years ago after a on the job accident and Have yet to receive settlement on, Over the last 10 years I fell behind on my obligation on several occasions, Not once by Ignoring or running from my obligation, The system in place makes it almost impossible to pull yourself up once you get behind. They have several laws and rules at there disposal to inflict on the non custodial Parent paying child support. I was a commercial truck driver and have been trying to go back to work as a driver and with the drivers license suspensions child support has issued in past years stay on record forever. I am trying to change this law and need your help R.C.W 46.52.130 Needs to be changed. In My case I due owe a arrears and have tried everything i could to be in compliance They have liens on my property Liens on my vehicle have taken passport, occupational license, fish and hunt, suspended drivers license garnished etc, My Point is its fine to collect the support But when you put someone out of work and keep them from working by removing there license to do so is unfair and unlawful, They can keep License suspension on your driving record for the rest of your life No statue of limitations, In other words if you were to be arrested for drunk driving and they suspend your license your record would be better than someone that was suspended for getting behind In child support, Its time to Modify some of these laws If you can,t work you can,t pay They need to come up with a way to allow parents paying support to still work. Please call your local representatives and ask to help change these laws and take some of our rights back, I believe Most people want to do the right thing and many fall on bad times. No one should be forced to stay there and No one should be punished for being poor.

I woukd love to see Laws change Kids need two parents

I would really like to see laws change that parents arnt so stressed when they do get visitation of there children the kids don't feel it I never got to relax and just love and enjoy my daughter . Yet My ex wife Broke the parenting plan several times making a even harder hardship on me by movie over 400 miles away and i would have to drive most of my visitation time just to see my daughter.

We are taxpayers who they act like we are third rate citzens. why cant we vote on the person who are gonna look after our interests as well. As long as we do not hold them accountable they are not gonna do anything for us. Lets make our vote count in that way. Lets stop giving them a green pass to do what they want with us. the sooner we understand this the better off we will be

Child Support Looks out for themslves

My Name is Brent I have been the Custodial parent for the the last two years after a change in custody that took 5 years to get to trial. Child Support in Washingon Just recently suspended my Drivers License for back support owed $2000. Since I have been unemployed for the last 11 months and have been unable to pay them. Now heres where it gets interesting. My childrens Mother Owes me $9000 in just the first two years. Well the new support enforcement officer says thats potatoe/potato quote un quote and says this is two different issues. This is not two different issues. Not only am I unable to go to the grocery store to get food for my children. I have been applying for several jobs am unable to get to any interviews let alone if someone wanted to hire me get to work. This is not looking out for the best interest of my children. This is about an agency that is too powerful, out of control and is in denial of plain common sense. As the officer said in their defense. Well we have the right to do it. Just because they have a license to Kill doesn't make it ethically right. Ive asked to talk to her supervisor and they have yet to call me back. What can I do? Desperate in Washington. I slept under the bridge in Wrights Park in Tacoma while working two part time jobs and paying $550 in child support while grossing only $770 and I was told to get a lawyer to have my child support modified. I was never given any paperwork in writing when I went to Support Enforcement so I eventually ended up stuck with nothing. I even lost my car that was in storage with all of my military awards and medical records. I have never truly forgiven the state of Washington for the damage that has been done to me. The only reason I no longer owe is because I made a decision to give up my parental rights when I was homeless;a right I feel I gave up under duress due to the fact that there was nowhere that I could turn for help.

I need to know a few things, but we might be able to do something about this if you let me help.

I do not think the law is correct. There are people that do deserve this but I am thinking maybe this was brought about prematurely and now you are worse then before.

Lets see what can be done and maybe this can be fixed the proper way.
