I am a 35 year old father and former offender who has not had a prblem with thelaw for more than ten years. In that time have had held numerous and varied jobs.
In most cases I have been terminated based on my record,even thought I have not been arrested or comitted a crime in those ten years. Each year child enforcement has held back my tax refunds for child support purposes and that's fine, but the mothers of my children have not seen one cent of thoses returns! Also I have built up support arrears for lack of employment and the arrears continue to accumulate based on an income that does not exist. One of my ex's have me in court demanding support while denying court approved visitation. She claims all of those problems can go away if I return to her. That's nuts, I am with someone else.
This person helps me out, but I am going to lose her because she cannot support me forever. I have applied for unemployment insurance,but it seems my previous employer is challenging my application. I have held at least 12 different jobs throughout the past ten years. Most employers have let me go upon reciept of a criminal background check, other because the position were contracted and once the contracts were up so were the jobs. Who can help me? I love my children. I cannot keep a job because of past circumstances and due to the recession enter level jobs are held for folks who have lost jobs and have no record.
The Courts demand money that doesn't exist and a warrent notice was mailed to me and I don't deserve to go to jail. I haven't committed any crime(s) , I am just a poor distitude who loves his children with no opportunities availed to me. Where are fathers rights today for my circumstances? Where is justice when Father's Rights attorneys asked for $3500.00 and up?
