Way back in 1978 we got divorced, we had two kids, I was in the military and stationed out of state, She was granted full custody, I was not allowed visitation, The military sent the $ 200.00 a month to her, Shw later went on welfare and had to claim that she was not getting paid the $200.00, I had to go to court to prove the military was sending her the checks, I twas decided that the checks would go to the clerk of the court and a $ 1.00 fee was attached ( back in those days they did not have interest (i mean penalties ) and all went well until I seperated from the service. I fell behind and in 1997 I tried to work out a new payment plan. The deputy county attorney went to the court and got a judgement against me in 1998.

He did not want me to repay a smaller amount, he wanted big money, I later learned that AZ started using the interest ( penalty ) system in 1995 and he made it retroactive all the way back to 1978. Paying $200.00 a month somehow added up to $ 27,993.74 and then the interest was $32,705.25 for a total of $ 60,698.99.......I almost died when I got the court papers in the mail.......WHAT THE F*** was going on! I used a calculator but could not figure out what kind of math formula they were using.

My lawyer was blown away as well. What was the interest rate? how did $200.00 add up to $ 27,993.74...I figured it out to $24,143.00....The arizona revised statue shows ten percent interest for a judgement from the court. That would be $2,400.00 or so but not $ 32,705.25....I have been trying to straighten this out with the courts and DCSE...the answer is always the same....DENIED !!!! I can never get an answer from a person, the phone prompts do not lead to a real person, letters go unanswered......I have been paying with wages and tax intercepts since 1983 and still owe just over $ 64,000.00 this will never get paid I will die owing all this money,,,even thought i have been paying they still took my passport, my drivers license for a short time and recently placed a lien on my bank account...when I complained they said they did not place the lien yet the money is missing, the bank gave it to them, they claim they don't have it, I believe it was stolen by an employee of DCSE.....I am filing a formal complaint with the state attorney general and going forward with a civil complaint and maybe a criminal complaint to get to the truth of this matter.

The DCSE operates outside the law and violates the constitution of the united states ( 14 amendement mostly ).....one more thing, the so called interest is really a penalty for not paying before the money is due, they start charging the interest before the payment is due then hold the money for at least two weeks before applying it to your account, some payments are held for six months while they attach interest....the DCSE is worse than the MOB !!!!!!
