Florida Dad Pays Support, Ex refusing visitation.. HELP!

I am a 31 father of two little girls ages 11 and 10. I love my children and pay 715.00 a month in Court Ordered Child Support. I have tried to call my children who live in Vero Beach, FL (I live in Ocala,FL) but always get the answering machine. When she does answer (ex-wife) I explain the need to see my children which she replies "I don't think that's a good idea, they get upset when you don't call them for weeks OR just pay your f*cking support" then she hangs up. I think her biggest problem is her new dirtbag husband that she cheated on me with while we were still married. Yeah, another long story.. We have joint custody and visitation from a Court order in Wisconsin. But according to FL I need to pay over 400.00 to file a petition or hire a Lawyer to SEE MY KIDS! Why is the system so screwed up? She got her child support whit one phone call, and no cost to her. Now she is laughing in my face! HELP reply to sunflexinmo@hotmail.com

Wow, alot has changed in just a few years! At the time of the previous posting I was fresh out of court and angry at a decision the judge had made. I was not thinking clearly and left hurtful comments on this site for everyone too see. Let me have this opportunity to clear this up. The person my ex remarried has been a father figure to my children for over 8 years now, he has been there for them thru the good and bad where I was nowhere to be found. And he has done an amazing job! In the last two years I have changed my life for the better. I've been thru another divorce, met an amazing woman and matured. I regret the hurtful things I said above. I wish I could take them back. But I cannot. What I can do is apologize, and hope this message reaches its intended mark. I have realized there are far better ways to "vent" when you are angry than slander someone who doesn't deserve it. So for those I have hurt. I am sorry. -Kyle Carnahan

Luckily I stumbled onto this poor excuse of a blog so that I could clear up just a little of Kyle's incompetence. First of all, Kyle is welcome to visit our girls anytime, anywhere. In fact, they just spent the summer with him out of state. Also, he is court-ordered to pay $715/mo. because he failed to pay all those other years. Yes, the girls are 10 and 11 and we have been divorced since they were babies. I have also been with my current wonderful husband for eight years and have never cheated on anyone in my life. Kyle, if you read this, just pay for what you helped to create and even without any support for years, you have always been able to see them, and you chose not to. Man up and be a dad!
