Forced to accept $100 a month when owed $30,000.
I raised my daughter without the help of her father from July 1990 to Nov. 1996 when a child support order was issued he then paid when he chose to or when the state caught up with him. My daughter and I were having some problems and she went to live with her father in Nov. of 2006. He then gained custody because I did not have the money or could be as deceitful as him. Current support was stopped in April of 2007 which I agreed to since she is living with him. BUT the court then took pity on him and set his payments of $30,000 in back support to $100 monthly. By the time this is paid to me I will be 60 years old and I am only 33. He owns several 4 wheelers, a Rhino, 2 trucks (that run) and 1 that doesn't, a boat ALL OF WHICH are NOT in his name. He is a self-employed handy man. He has a son from another marriage whom was born with sever cerebral palsy. They received a huge settlement and live in a $350,000 home and drive a suburban, WHICH came out of his son's MONEY. I am just frustrated. Will he still have to pay me when my daughter turns 18 this July?
