I AM 53 &HAVE NEVER BEEN IN JAIL I HAVE BEEN THREATENED W/ 30 DAYS/$250 FINE FOR ARREARS-APX 4000. IM AREMODLER &WORK IS HARD TO COME BY/PRICES HAVE BEEN DRIVEN DOWN BY THE ECONOMY.IF MY INCOME GOS UP MY SUPPORT GOES UP WITHOUT ANYONE PAYING FOR A LAWYER. IF IT GOES DOWN I HAVE TO WAIT FOR REVIEW TIME &PAY A$75 FILEING FEE & PAY A LAWYER. THIS YEAR IVE HAD 11-1/2 WKS WITH NO INCOME. THE JUDGE IMPUDED INCOME TELLING ME "I COULD HAVE MADE $4000 MORE A YEAR" SURE I COULD HAVE ,BUT THE FACT IS I DID NOT! THIS IS INSANE! BASING SUPPORT ON FICTION # INSTEAD OF FACTS .I WAS CURRENT W/SUPPORT @ THE TIME I WENT TO COURT-20 MIN LATER I WAS $1430.21 BEHIND THEN THE ECONOMY WENT TO CRAP & I GOT FURTHER BEHIND.(WHICH HAS NO BEARING ON THE JUDGES PRESET/GUARANTEED INCOME!) I ,BY LAW MUST REPORT ANY INCREASE IN MY INCOME. MY EX 5 MO. AGO GAINED $16000.00/YEAR BY LAW SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO REPORT THIS????????IT IS UP TO ME TO BRING THIS TO THE COURT &PAY A LAWYER & A FILEING FEE!!! I WOLUD LIKE TO SEE SOME LAWYERS WITH ENOUGH BALLS TO MAKE THIS SYSTEM FAIR FOR EVERYONE. NOT TO GET PAID BUT TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT! IT SEEMS KIND OF STUPID THE COURT EXPECTS ME TO PAY A LAWYER WHEN THAT MONEY COULD BE SPENT ON SUPPORT! I LOVE MY 2 BOYS &WANT THE BEST FOR THEM BUT TRUE JUSTICE IS NON EXISTANT!!! IS THERE ANY GROOP THAT IS REALY DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM OR ARE WE TRULY A NATION OF SHEEP? WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS GREAT COUNTRY OF OURS? FAIR & EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL?

I was ordered to pay arrears for my son who i just moved back to his mother a couple yrs ago. The arrears i paid in full up front, i made a few small support payments and then business came to a halt. With no money coming in i had to sell off trailers, trucks and equipment just to keep the bills paid. Finally business began to pick up and my girlfriend and i got married. While on the honeymoon i had paid my current arrears and had forgotten about a court date. So when i realized i had forgotten the court date i voluntarily went to appear in front of the judge. He was furious and wanted to put me in jail immediately for missing court. He advised me to hire an attorney and he set a new court date. So i called my attorney and explained what happened and she agreed to represent me. I sent in another large check to keep current and to keep a credit with support. At the court date Child support was pushing for jail time although the support was current and a credit. The judge postponed the date again until today. Again i sent in a large check to keep current and to keep a credit and this time instead of pushing the missed court date now they are trying to charge me with willful violation of court order because i am ordered to pay weekly and they seem to think that i only pay around court dates???

My attorney is fighting that it makes no difference when payments are made as long i keep current and that i have actually been keeping a credit. So now i have 10days suspended jail time hanging over my head if i do not pay weekly. Child support does not care that i cannot always pay weekly but although i can pay with large sums. Now my attorney is pushing for a modification for me to pay monthly instead of weekly to make it easier. To make matters worse Child support has revoked my drivers license and will not give it back, regardless that my support has been current and with credit. And because of their technicalities i also have a large sum of fee's with my attorney. For those curious i have been current in with credit for 7 months. The credit i have is good until the end of March. The next payment after the modification goes through will keep me in credit until June. And just think, i am the bad guy!

my husband just got out of the military also from WA state and we are having the same issues.. wa wont let us modify the support order because they cut funding and we live in another state and they said they wouldn't look at the order for a year . and that's my husbands fault ??

MY husband and i just moved back from washington state. he just got out of the military and came to ohio to be with his kids. things started out going well. but has fallin from there. his ex wife is now takeing him back to court to try and get more childsupport out of him which he has not been able to find a job since we got back here he is still on unemployment we have 1400 a month right now and we have 3 other kids at home right now. she has refused to let us see the kids on our times to see them so we put contempt charges on here 2 weeks later she put a protection order on my husband from his kids. The way this state treats everyone like a dead bet dad is retarted. when if you go to her home and see it and see the way the kdis are treated they are abused and neglected there and at our home they have everything they need but her has been deamed dead bet just cause he is a man. we have spend 3k on attorney fees to fight this and she has a attorney that works for her for free.. i hate this state and someone needs to do something about how the laws work cause its not ok that they treat us like this just cuase my husband is a good dad and we left everything to be with them.

Hi Fred,

I paid Child support all my life. Then I got sick. I can't work anymore and live on SS Disability. I have 25% of my heart left, heart failure, an enlarged heart, hypertension and sleep on a machine at night. I'm not suppose to live long. The State of Illinois is trying to take my disability and put me on the street for child support arrears. They Deneyed a modification of support. Anymore I just tell them to their face I REFUSE TO PAY! I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE! Don't even think your going to be treated fairly! There is NO JUSTICE IN THIS COUNTRY! YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS! It won't happen! Lawyers won't help you. They will take your money and work with the State to take more from you!

FRED, what i'm saying is you have no rights! The U.S. Constitution no longer applies to you! The Federal goverment has passed laws to legaly steal your home, children and God given rights as a parent! You have no rights!

Domestic relation cases has made the Constitution void for men! Everything in your life from now on Fred is subject to a Judge. Your movements, private life, money, conversations all subject to the control of a judge.

I'M SORRY TO TELL YOU THIS FRED BUT YOUR LIFE IS OVER. NO DREAMS OR FUTURE FOR YOU FRED. THE STATE WILL DENY AND DESTROY YOUR ECONOMIC FUTURE, THEY WILL STEP ON YOU TILL YOU NO LONGER HAVE THE INCENTIVE OR WILL TO WORK OR LIVE!

FRED, THIS ISN'T CHILD SUPPORT, IT'S CALLED SLAVERY AND IS NEVER MEANT TO BE PAID OFF OR STOPPED! If by chance you pay every penny you owe, they will add interest, you will pay 3 times more what you have paid. I'm sorry Fred but you have have no rights in this country.

THERE IS NO CHANCE FOR YOU, BUT IT'S BETTER TO PERISH FIGHTING, THAN TO LIVE LIKE A SLAVE!
