frustrated
For years I have been playing the game of child support and goverment assistance to collect it. My child is seventeen to day and her father is finally paying child support on a more consistent basis, ever now and again he may miss a month but not like the first ten years. Anyway finally have every thing in place to start working on get back child support paid as well tax liens, interstate cooperation and goverment insentive checks. My origanal order is thru Ohio which niether of us live in anymore but Ohio refused to transfer juridiction over to Virginia where I live, however they did finally get Alabama to agree to some kind of interstate cooperation agreement for out of state collection of child support (where my childs father lives). And now come to find out for the past three to five years however long Alabama been in the picture they have added some kind of interest payment to the child support. Which you would think have that may not be too bad get a little extra for how long he didn't pay and you went w/ out. WRONG they have been keeping the intrest collect and deducting it for the payments he has been making and the money has been coming to me or my child and that why there have been lags in the months w/ no child support. Even those government instentive checks, which Ohio said I was suppose to get the help catch up arrearages, NOPE they kept that too. So I ask you I though the whole point of CSEA was to assist parents to get money to help support their childern.
