Glopez

by GLopez
(Houston ,Texas)

My ex owes about ten thousand in back child support. He pays nothing at all. He gets away with this because his fiance is the property manager of the apartments where he works and lives. She does not give the owner or person in charge of payroll the court orders to garnish wages. She also lied to the child support people telling them he no longer works there. He told me himself he does. I don't know when or if we'll ever go to court. How can they get away with this, and shouldn't she get in trouble for this too????

Bunches Of Crap
by: Becky

You need to find out if she has been audited or if the company has. If so, then his earnings should be listed in the parole paperwork. Also, if he has said himself that he is working there and she is denying the paperwork from the attorney generals office, then yes she will get in trouble. It's with-holding evidence. Do some investigative work yourself and you will be VERY suprised with what you can come up with that the Att Gen office isn't doing. I have always done the work for this office. Not once has the Att Gen office found him, found his employment, an address, a phone number, etc. You can also go to the social security website and with his ss# pull up and print out his employment from there.
Hope this helps!!!

There is not accountability
by: Anonymous

They say they are doing everything they can...I'll bet! Well, my ex husbands step father is a police officer in the town he lives! I am not sure that they have done everything they can. I am pretty sure that he hasn't filed taxes in 7 years and no one seems to care enough to pursue that either. I thought in this country we filed taxes when we worked and if we didn't there would be very serious consequences! NOT!!! I never knew how easy it is to work and make enough to support a woman, and her illagitimate kid, have trampolines, cars, motor cycles and money to buy hydro-codone for "migraines" and never be accountable for paying or filing taxes! I live right and do what I am suppose to do and for what!? To hear constantly..."there's nothing we can do!"

Response to Glopez

There absolutely is help for your situation in which ex lives and works for fiance in housing. It's called filing an "Order For Examination". I haven't had to do one yet myself but I researched thoroughly. It is a regularly docketed family court action and it will work, although it has not been made well known to custodial parents. And yes, as fiance and property manager she gets in trouble too, poetic justice. It will take time and perseverance but the law is on your side, just not being enforced.
