Good father, bad mother

I have one daughter from my first marriage. We were divorced in 1986. I was ordered by the courts to pay $302 a month. I faithfully paid my child support every month, on time. One weekend I went to pick up my daughter for my weekend visitation, I knocked on the door and there was no answer. I tried calling but the phone was disconnected. I finally got hold of my ex-wife’s mother who told me that my ex-wife took my daughter and moved to Florida. My ex did not even contact or notify me that she was leaving town. I was finally able to get a hold of my ex-wife and when I asked her why she took my daughter without asking me, she informed me that she had to move away to find a job. To make a long story short, we went back to court and I stupidly allowed my ex-wife to keep my daughter because my daughter wanted to stay with her mom. That was a very stupid choice, one I will continue to regret for the rest of my life. So just because the mom is deemed by the courts to be the better custodial parent, doesn't make it so...

What an awful person to take a child away like that. Isn't considered kidnapping? Not sure, just asking.
