Good Father being Punished

by Kenny
(El Paso Texas)

I have been divorced since 2004. I have a 6 year old son and I am paying 412.00 a month on child Support. I have never had an issue with paying Child Support because I did it with my previous marriage with no issues at all. The problem that I have is that I was recently mobilized as a reservist and yes I make more money now than before but this is temporary. I see my son 3 times a week at football practice and I have him every other weekend. I pay for his entry fee every year(Football,Tee-ball and basketball)I also spend money on her 11 year old daughter with no regrets. She noticed that I own 2 nice cars and immediately started asking questions about my income. I told her that it was none of her bussiness how I spend my money because my obligations are being met. A few months later i received a notification from the Attorney General of Texas for a Support Modification meeting. I am angry because I will be going back to my civilian job in a few months and if she gets an increase I won't be able to make it on the money I make in my civilian job. The Attorney General doesn't care about that. I know that if I request a modification hearing to decrease my support it will take monthst before the hearing therefore putting me in a financial bind. Here is what bothers me the most. She has an 11 year old daughter that her father has never paid a cent for child support but she never pursued him for any money. It is not my fault if she is not receiving money from him. I guess she thinks that an increase in my support can make up the difference. I am angry because I do so much more for my son and even her daughter.
