How much is too much !

by Rob
(Milwaukee)

I was in court today for a contempt hearing. I was without a job for about 5 months and I recently went back to work making far less than the amount I was ordered to pay on. I get lambasted by the judge for my payments not being sen in by my current employer and the judge just about outrightly called me a liar ! I asked the judge what a fair amount of support would be for someone making $16 an hour, to which he replied 25% of your gross. And I said then how come it was set at 40%. To which he stated it's just a guideline, they can take as much as the feel is right to support the child. So let me see if I have this right. Now I'm working to pay taxes and child support ? And thats all ! "It's nice when you make$640 a week and you take home $219, wouldn't you say" I told him. And he told me it goes to support your child. To which I say " how much good does it do, supporting the child if I can't support myself" ? And he told me to work harder ! We , as men, need to fix this problem. The whole system is screwey, and has no "balance". It's all about the mothers and their child....never about the dad!
