How They Collected Child Support From Me!

Paying child support in my opinion is the most important thing that you can do as a non-custodial parent. I did not seem to think so at first, but as I got older I realized my responsibilities and took action. I had my son at a very early age, I was only twenty years old when my son came into the earth. Like most young couples with a child and unmarred, we parted ways. Two years went by before I received a knock on the door from a constable waiting for me to sign a court summon for a child support hearing.
Since I have not been paying child support for two years, the Child Support Attorney General's Office used two methods to collecting child support payments. One, they started withdrawing the money from my paychecks, two, every year around tax time they would confiscate my tax return refund check. I owed thousands in back child support due to my irresponsibility's. Today I owe a couple hundred dollars due to my actions of paying child support.
In my experience it always a good thing to make your timely child support payments, not only because its garnished from your wages, but because its the right thing to do for your child/children.
