Maggie In Alabama
by: Disabled Mom

Hi Maggie,

Each state differs from what I've read. You have to research what your state's laws are and have them enforced if necessary by the state director and a judge. Here in CA it's 10% judicial interest per year and my ex will owe me for the rest of my life on $151,000.00. Right now I get weekly interest only checks. Some states child support mandatorily stops at age 18, here in CA there is no such limitation. Arearages are owed forever(federal law) and the custodial parent automatically receives 65% of the noncustodial parent's retirement whenever that is filed for.
