I am the custodial parent of a wonderful child. Despite the problems that I still endure each time I have my sons grandmother lie to me about her son owing in back child support of the amount of $34,000.00 since the 1999(that’s when the child support for my son was ordered in court). About the grandmother, who lies through her teeth of the where about of the non custodial (that resides in the state of California) still, to this day, does things to far as doing things behind my back (the little trip that grandmother had taken my son to California to visit with his biological father). This trip was about the time that let my son go visit with his grandparents. Last year in July, the trip was taken on the dates of July 24th & the 25th of 2008.I didn’t find out about this trip till, I, one day decided to snoop in my sons closet, and found the LEGOLAND of California passes that she had taken my son to. (This is where the no custodial parent works at as well) and also the Lego land drivers license for my son. I am so mad and numb, that I don’t know what to do (as far as legal wise). I am a wishful thinker and wish that my son’s grandmother would fall off the edge of the earth (along with her son and his sisters) I have a question to ask, would it be wise to sue grandma for the non-custodial parents arreage of child support? (That would be nice) in the sum of 34,000.00 dollars, plus pain and suffering. Am I just dreaming of the day that the non-custodial parent finally starts to pay child support (boy, I am a wishful dreamer)
