My ex-wife called a few days ago to say that I am going to have to start paying medical bills for our son. I've told her that she could get chip for free, but she won't listen to me, by the way we are ordered to pay 50/50 on this. By the time she is done, my wife and I know we are going to be paying 5k plus at the end of the year on this. I need to get something done about this, because she is going to take away the money that I use for our kids right now.

On top of that, she made the comment that I don't buy him any clothing, or anything, so I told her that is what I pay support for. My son doesn't have any clothes that fit him, they are all to small for him. Is there anyway of getting something ordered so I know she spends it on him. I see picture's of her at bar's all the time and it's starting to eat at me that my sons money is being used on her activities.

I've always paid my support, and payed on time. I've also given $25 extra on top of what I'm supposed to pay, and I don't make that much. I have a family, my wife which I have been married to for 8 years now, and two other kids. We have our own place, and everything is going ok for us, but my ex lives with her parents, and doesn't have to pay anything. My son with her is suffering, because she is greedy, and doesn't know how to manage her money, trust me I've got tons of documented reports.

I just need advice or help to see what I can do about the medical, and to see if I am able to get proof that she spends the child support of my son.

You are fighting an up hill battle. Because the men in a child support case are daily being abused. Make sure you keep all receipts for every thing you buy him and support for him . Keep for life because I am a prime example . I paid when my child was young and now she is 35 yrs old . The ex came back now and says i never paid because I did pay her and not thought the child support office. I now am in my 50s and having to pay 148,350.00 for childsupport and back interest. Because who keeps receipts from 30 years ago. But you had better. And dont have any assets in your name , live on cash basis except for paying child support. Bexar county ,Texas is the worst. But all states abuse the fathers. Good luck

As I say the laws let these women get away with murder, the money for child support is supposed to be no concern of the fathers which I beg a difference. I can tell you it is supposed to be used on what the children needs and to put a roof over their heads as well as what ever she spends this money on. I can't believe the laws are so terrible for the father's. I am disgusted with the laws. I have been watching for several years
the mother of my grandchildren who at the time when she separated from my son was employed and turned around and got pregnant and was living with boyfriend and to top it off in government housing so then I said must be nice my son has worked since he was seventeen and has always worked. So I realized not only was the government supporting her and her children free rent, child support to pay the heat, light etc. food stamps to purchase food now this went on five years. With the support of the government and the father of her children I say he got some free ride. This has been reported to the general attorney I have not seen anything done to this woman or man I want them to be accountable for all the free riding these two have done. I as a taxpayer am disgusted to know how are tax money is spent. For all these women who rely on government assistance and child support and keep having children and not working need to face reality that the children need to be with the parent who is able to provide for the children and this would stop alot of government assistance a whole lot. The government needs to start to audit these mother who just keep frauding the system and quit putting the whole blame on the fathers, I should of known she be the welfare queen she got the best lesson from her parents. Mother has raised them in public housing and now her children are grown adults she stills resides in the same public housing when her children were young and a two bedroom at that, what is wrong with this picture is the government doing his job?

Most states have a family facilitor & this is free legal advice & help. I would file for full custody for sure!!! I think you have a good chance w/her living w/her parents. hire a private investigator on her coming & goings. Most will work w/you or get a friend to do it for you! just be careful she doesn't see you or suspect it cause she could file harrassment or stalking charges.

I would go back to court show YOUR reciepts of anything you buy for your child & show that to the judge (leave those at your house) take pictures of him when you pick him up that has the dates!!!
Good luck Legal Aid may help too or go see a lawyer for free meeting.
