ILLINOIS CHILD SUPPORT DIVISION!!!

My fiancé and his ex girlfriend went through a child custody battle and we now have custody of his 7 year old. During the process they set child support to be taken out directly. The State of Illinois is completely messed up and is not on top of payments, credits or balances due!! The first deduction order did not go through so HE was charged interest on payments that were not sent. Once we got that taken care of, the State of Illinois Dept of Public Health decided to submit a claim since they did not show payments being made automatically - creating 2 deductions to be taken out. She does not work, does not WANT to work and lives off of state aid. He works his butt off to provide for his son and HER daughter while she sits and collects child support. Long story short, every time we try to get the correct amount updated, our file goes into review and he ends up owing more money. They have now taken his income tax check while they are also deducting money for a child he now has custody for. They will not let us talk to anyone and his file has been in review since October of 2007. GET IT STRAIGHT ALREADY. Make sure to watch your deductions and stay on top of it if you are a non-custodial parent in Illinois using the State to collect money!!!!
