I paid 18 years of child support only to find myself back in the control of Washington state child support enforcement. They currently have my license suspended for non-payment of a lean which was filed against me for not supplying info regarding medical insurance required in the divorce decree order established some 21 + years ago. In the decree I was ordered to have my daughter on my health insurance policy as a dependent rider. I followed the requirements of the order but didn't have communication with the disgruntled custodial parent because she held information as to the whereabouts of my daughter and her. After 7 years into my daughters life she was diagnosed with diabetes which required extensive and costly medical attention. The outstanding bill for the cost of her medical attention was somewhere in the neighborhood of 65000.00. this was paid by her mother(custodial parent) and insurance she carried.
After making the final payment for my child support obligation, she in turn took that money and filed a law suit against me. After 3 years of costly defense representation and mental distress she was awarded a judgment against to the toon of 70000.00 of which support enforcement is in the state of Washington is now the collector. My life is basically right back in the same position I've been struggling with for the last 21 years. I paid for one child more than 300,000.00 dollars in child support. I need help is there anyone who can shed some sunlight on my overcast world that doesn't seem to have any hope?
