John J. Torres III

(Trinidad,CO, Las Animas County)

My name is John J. Torres III and I had my license suspended from Pueblo County for being in arrears 281.00. This is out of Pueblo County, I had spoken to Elvire Espinoza about my case and told her I may be getting a good job but I'm at this time unemployed. I had a case here in Las Animas County also. I received a letter of suspension which I think is ridiculous so I contacted Jennifer Blan my case worker here in Trinidad and she I made an agreement with here to make a couple of payments and she wrote a letter of compliance for me.

She told me to call Pueblo so I did. I spoke to Ms. Espinoza, and she told me that it wasn't Pueblo that ordered the suspension it was Trinidad. So I was happy because I thought I had taken care of it. So on Oct. 25 I called DSS in Trinidad to make sure they got payment. Jennifer told me they had received my payment so I was like cool. She asked me again if I called Pueblo, and I told her I didn't. She told me she'd check for me and see when she got back to her office. She called me back about an hour later and told me that Pueblo had suspended my license on Saturday October 23, 2010. So I tried to call Elvira Espinoza back and she never returned my call. I think the driver's license suspension is good for dead beat dads that owe in the tens of thousands of dollars but I've always paid my support. I forgot to mention I have not been receiving unemployment. If that job would call me soon I would be out of a good job because Elvira would not work with me and basically lied to me.

Thank You Very Much
Sincerely John
