Loser for a Father!

My son was born in 1998 and his dad was only around the 1st couple days. He freaked about being a dad and quit coming around. He was finally ordered to pay support when my son 6 months old. He never paid. He never came around. Visitation was never ordered. When my son turned 2 he showed up for a court date for Child Support review, announced he had another child on the way, they raised his support to $50 a week, and he disappeared again. 2 months later we found out he went to prison for a huge local drug bust, being a main leader!!!! He apologized about what he had done, and his Grandma took my son to visit his dad for 8 years so he could get to know him. My son patiently, and excitedly waited for his dads return home.

He was released in Aug 2008, came around for about 6 months and seemed pretty interested in being a dad. Aug 2009 he started working and actually started paying on a weekly basis. BUT, after he had been out for 6 months (about feb/march 2009) he met a girl and stopped being involved. he only came around about once a month. His payments have been on and off, and he has not seen his son since Feb 2010.

No phone calls at all, not even his bday! He got married to a preachers daughter in April 2010 and in June 2010 he texted me and told me "After praying about things, I feel it would be best for everyone if we had our own separate families, its just causing problems for everyone"! He wants nothing to do with our son at ALL!!! Nice right? Well, he is $33,000.00 in arrears!!!! I requested a review and with his additional amount added on that goes toward arrears, he only pays $95.00 a week! Seriously! My other sons dad pays the same amount and he is current, and it just really aggravates me that he can get away with not paying more towards his arrears and still refuses to help with anything!! And he is trying to have more kids with his new wife!!

I pray to god that he does not have the ability to bring anymore children into this world when he doesn't take care of the children he already has! (he has another one that's 10 & been adopted by his stepdad) It would be nice to actually get some of those arrears!!
