Lost Child Support Case/Child Not Mine/Can I Leave The Country?

You all are going to LOVE this story. Really it is about my friend but I'm a major part of it.

Cliff Notes:
Friend's Kids Aren't His
He lost court case and must pay child support
Best friend (me)(and not gay) dumps fiance'
We want to leave country and start anew
He doesn't want to pay child support
Can he become citizen in another country and not pay?

I'll call friend Bob and his wife Becky.

Bob and I have been friends since we were born, literally. Best buds for life, so so, that we even work together. Becky came into Bob's life in college and after a year of dating, they got married right out of school. Both are EXTREMELY melow.

Becky gets preggers and spawns satin twins, really! ADD/psycho problems, the whole works.

That was four years ago. Now Bob and I make big money but we're away from home a good 2-3 weeks a month. Bob always said he was saving so he could spend half the year doing nothing except being Mr. Mom in the twin's later years. He has said that he has just been away from them for too long and they need a stern father figure to turn them around. THAT BEING SAID, he has also always said he wished he could just start all over. Forget his life, naggy/shopaholic wife, demon children, and just be set free again.

So last year I visit him in the hospital because one of the twins was getting their tonsils out. I was helping Bob sort through insurance documents and medical records when I noticed demon child was type A blood. Via a previous emergency incident, I knew Becky was a rare type O. And I always knew Bob was O- from when we gave blood in high school. We always said we were blood brothers because I'm O- also.

I told Bob straight up, "I know this will always stay between you and me. Do what you want. But I'm almost sure two parent's with O blood can't have a type A kid."

Long story short, DNA tests followed, we expedited the issue through the courts, and we/he lost.

He has promised never to pay a penny so...

We can do our job anywhere so would there be an issue if we moved to Canada? Could she still come after him for support??? We were also bouncing the idea of moving to other countries also. Will countries let you become citizens if you have debts in other countries?

He's free from his ball-and-chain, and I'm recently free from my own (I can't commit to marriage for some reason). We're still in our 20s and just want to live a little.

Our state is PA if that helps.

Its Hard
by: Tim Shepard

But he should do everything he can to fight this abuse of justice. Fathers are being cheated by our corrupt court system everday and he has no responsibility whatsoever to take care of his ex's mistakes, to say nothing of having his life taken and shattered by the abuse of our biased system of government. IF WE DONT FIGHT THE CRIMINALS IN POWER, THINGS WONT GET ANY BETTER FOR OUR SONS.

Try Taiwan, its a beautiful place and because of the delicate situation with China, they have never been a signatory with the US on Child support issues. You will also find that there men actually have rights and are not simply chattel for their womenfolk. For example, if a man is involved in a divorce, instead of having his children kidnapped to extort all his income, they will actually give him the opportunity to take care of the children, and force the deadbeat mom to work. Think about that, real equality.

HEY RETARDO!
by: Anonymous

LET ME BEGIN BY SAYING THAT YOU AND YOUR FRIEND ARE MORONS (THIS IS NOT AN OPINION) YOU SAY

"THAT HE IS WANTING TO SPEND TIME W/HIS KIDS AND IS SAVING FOR THEM, THEN YOU ADD.."he has also always said he wished he could just start all over. Forget his life, naggy/shopaholic wife, "DEMON CHILDREN", and just be set free again."

THE LENGTH OR NATURE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS PRINCE OF A MAN" IS REALLY BESIDE THE POINT UNLESS YOU SUSPECT ONE OF THESE KIDS ARE YOURS(YES THEY CAN BE FROM DIFFERENT DADS)OR YOU ARE HIS GAY LOVER.
BUT....EVEN THEN ITS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHY DIDN'T YOU N UR BOYFRIEND REFILE???
U WANNA HIDE? FROM WHAT?

YOU ARE CORRECT, THE KIDS CANNOT BE HIS, BUT I WONDER WHY HE LOST.

THE OTHER DUDE IS A RETARD TOO, HE MADE A CUTE LITTLE PLAN BUT IT WILL ONLY WORK ASSUMING THE OTHER GUY INTERACTS. WHERE'S UR BILLIONAIRE FRIENDS LAWYER?

GOOTA GO...I ALMOST VOMITED IN MY MOUTH BECAUSE OF UR RETARDED POST

Think outside the box

You say they are mellow. Bob should have a sit-down with Becky and really try to have a long intimate conversation in which he remains thoughtful and caring and trying to make things right.

Then in a very subtle way, try to get Becky to say who the other potential father could be. Bob then tells you the real dad's id. Then you (being the good friend) go to the other guy and tell him he has adorable children that you know are his, "they even look like you-- and they are going to make great football players-- here is Beck's phone number." Let him enter the scene. Then Bob gets kind of angry and tells him to stay away. You tell Becky that you think real Dad still has feelings for her.

He will try to enter the scene and demand a paternity test. This will make the test more likely to happen. If they are in fact his kids then the court will make him responsible.

You and buddy can go do whatever it is your bromance desires.

You see, the court has already decided the matter based on the fact pattern presented before it. The courts usually make the decision in the best interest of the children. The court isn't going cut your boy loose. Your buddy needs the real Dad present for the court to do that.

You could probably go to Canada and be fine, but if you come back to the U.S. your buddy could have a warrant for his arrest (if the ex complains to the court) for non-payment. Due to the fact that all states have an integrated system of file sharing that means he can be picked up in new mexico for a nebraska violation (just an example.)

Find the real Dad.
