I Just Lost My Job i was in the retail market working hard and long every day and was working for 4 years straight i have a 3 year old child and have ben paying child support for the last 2 years in a timely manner and order and they even started taking it right out of my paycheck also noticed it increased without notification but i recently lost my employment and now i must go see if im eligible for unemployment also get a modification for child support payments also i am a father proud of his child and would like to but doesnt get to see her as much. im not even sure if i have partial custody or visitation rights legally i am wondering how will i go about this whole process without heated confrontation with the mother or without owing back pay or losing my drving privelages i dont want to face incarceration over something that can be handled through paperwork and compromise and is there a way i can come to an agreement with my ex spouse to take me off child support if agreement to documented declaration of payments made towards the child personally between the parents and not the court im very new to this topic this idea this concept of child support is there any way to get off or make the mother cancel child support in any way please any thanks for taking the time to read this comment and any help or feedback will help....

Sick of psycho ex's by: Anonymous
My husband has a daughter who is grown now but because his ex is vindictive, brain-washed, manipulated an 8 yr old child to not have anything to do with her father. Of course it sure didn't stop her from pursuing the child support and even when he lost his job and wasn't making much money he got it reduced a little bit. I'm not saying there aren't deadbeat dads out there but I sure find something wrong with paying support for a child that you never see or talk to for 10 years. He still owes arrears and is paying them, but his driver's license is suspended. Is there anything he can do to get it back now, or does he have to have the arrears paid off?

A little info by: Anonymous
My husband was in the same situation. If you contact them they will allow you to make the amount of a one month payment and they will allow you to get your license back. Just remember to pay the 25.00 reinstatement fee at the BMV. Also you can call your self every 2 years and request a hearing for child support to be lowered. If you lose your job you can request lower payments.

Child support and fathers without work by: Anonymous
Did you ever find a real answer to your problem? I have a friend in the same situation. It;s been years since he could accept a real paying job due to the fact that back child support would land him in jail if located. He wants so badly to get back on track but the state will arrest him & put him in jail allowing support to go into arrears much more then throwing him out on the street with nothing after jail time is served. They need to help fathers in the right directions so they can continue to pay for their children, is there any help out there for Dads?

How To Beat The System by: Anonymous
First, I would relocate to another state !!! Get out of OHIO for now!!! Then try to get on with a small company who will help you get your CDL back in the state you reside in, Not Ohio !!! Once you get your permit, and remeber the best thing to do before the CDL is try to get a regular driver license.. Ohio want be able to take your CDl away from you because you reside outside of the state now. Then try to find a company that will help you get your CDl in that state.. There will be back ground checks but be careful about telling them about your suspended license in Ohio!!! ANother thought, not sure if it will work but try to have your Ohio License resended then start over..
