Mr. Jones

by Mr.Jones
(Ohio)

I am a non-custodial parent and I would love to pay my share of child support. I am a long distance truck driver and several years ago I lost my job. I found work where I could but most of the time it was just enough to pay my bills. My ex did not or would not report that I no longer did truck driving and my small wage was still being collected on as if I was still making better money. I called to see if this could be changed because I only made $300 per week and $245 was being taken out for child support. I couldn't afford a place to stay I lost everything. I was told that I had to bring in six months of pay stubs to show that I no longer made what my ex had claimed I did. I got laid off due to cut backs and now no money was being paid into child support. I had a friend contact me about another truck driving job but when I went to fill out the papers I found the state had taken my CDL license. Now I don't have a job or a home and as long as the state of Ohio will not allow me to drive I can't pay child support.

Can some one please tell me what I can do. I have no problem with paying my fair share but we have a catch 22 here.
