I used to have custody, but unfortunately because of my poor choice in men my second ex husbands track record caused me to lose my kids. Now I am the non-custodial parent since 2001 and have been repeatedly dragged to court by my ex husband numerous times and now Child Support Enforcement is doing the show cause on me. From the very FIRST incident clerk entered my ss# wrong on the court orders when submitted to the courts-so therefore the woman at the window when I went up there to try to figure out what actually needed to be done she kept on saying she couldn't find me in the system. Finally an 'angel of mercy' came up which was one of the case workers and pulled my information up right away. However, my ex husband had already did a show cause to have me in court...trying to make me suffer for all the money I got from him when I was taking care of my two sons. Another time I had a show cause I almost spent some jail time which was from 9:30a to 4:30p most of the day was spent locked down in a lawyer one holding cell while the paper was setting down waiting for someone to fax it through from the clerks office I got a bag lunch @4:30p...my ex husband had brought my son which was the younger one 5 kneeling down on one knee wrapping his arms around my son as if I was the most despicable woman on the face of the earth prior to going to court on that day! Hoping to hurt me, but I chose to look past his nastiness! Then I had trouble with a few small business owners withholding for garnishments and misappropriating those funds and not sending them to Child Support Enforcement and I am exhausted - worn out - worn down from working. I was working 98 hours a week, but once I heard word that my mom was dying from cancer and needed to go for chemo therapy I reduced my hours and spent those times assisting my mom and my dad with groceries and errands, etc. I am supposed to go to court soon in May, 2011 with my 'court appointed lawyer' to discuss my less income which I did a show cause to reduce child support per month and motion to move the case back to Chesterfield, VA from Henrico, Va. I had a problem with one of my patients family members and quit, but found out that they were just served papers to be garnisheed a certain amount for arrears. I am considering going for a physical evaluation or a mental evaluation to see if there's any way that I might be able to get onto some type of disability because after caring for patients off and on since 2003 I am not sure if I can continue the way I am going. With 'ZERO' conversation with my ex husband who is using this tactic as a way of punishing me until the lump sum is caught up-which my oldest son was emancipated off back in 2008 when he reached 18...a month later a farce was perpetrated against him as a ruse to get him out from under their roof and placed in my lap with 'ZERO' conversation from his dad and I taking on the car insurance making my insurance bill about 250.00 per month and no concern for his sons well being. I wonder, at times if he loved his kids, at all or used them against me to try to make me crazy and ruin me, but my kids are my everything and I love them dearly!
