My Daughter

by Dave
(Broome County)

My daughter went to live with her grandmother 2 years ago to help take care of her. Her mother receives the child support payments even though my daughter is not living with her and does not give it to her. She was 15 at the time. I contacted social services to see if I could get this changed and never got anywhere.

Now this past December, my daughter quit school without my knowledge and got her GED. Two days ago I find out that she has moved out of her grandmothers' house and in with her boyfriend. She is still going to Cosmetology School but not living with either one of us (her parents). Her mother will not return my phone calls and when I call social services I get tossed from one department to another because they keep saying it is not their job.

Is there anything I can do to at least make sure my daughter gets the support if nothing else. She will be 18 in September.

Thank you
