My son is a Marine and I still pay her????

When I found out about my son there were many issues...but we put that behind us for the good of our son. Visitation didn't work due to outside influences from all parties...including my family. Life went on. My son completed credits to graduate high school early and joined the Delayed Entry Program of the USMC. He left for boot camp and graduated before his high school walk through, and then left shortly thereafter for the USMC base for further training. I couldn't be more proud.
According to the USMC he is a soldier old enough to fight for his country, drink a beer on base, and handle his own affairs. His mother said she would stop child support since he was not living with her and had not been since going to boot camp 6 months ago. She never stopped it. SHE kept collecting. I don't feel that SHE should collect support for him if he isn't living with her and she has NO expenses for him. IF I have to pay, the money should go directly to HIM NOT HER. So why is it that the State of AZ refuses to stop my support or at least make sure my son is getting HIS money? I think it is because they don't care....
This is all water under the bridge now, my son is 18 and all is done, but now his mom wants me to help her get the $10,000 plus she is owed in back support from her other son's father.
