IS IT TRUE THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS TAKING OVER THE ORDER FOR ALL STATES SINCE THERE IS SUCH A LARGE DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY EACH STATE HANDLE CHILD SUPPORT?
The federal government began billing custodial parents $25.00 for every $600. collected in October of last year. This is nationwide except for the state of CA that I know of. They can't bill the non-custodial parent if they can't find them, which would make much more sense. Custodial parents can't afford this billing, I couldn't have. This bill ostensibly is happening to cover computer upgrades that enforce child support orders, it was written up by legislature and backfired on them horribly. They didn't understand what the proposed bill would actually do if passed. This is just another "sign of the end times" that the federal government has run out of funds to do routine work. This billing is uniform and doesn't vary from state to state.
