No One Wants the Child Support

I was Court Order to pay child support in 1991. I made my payments as directed. My Ex Absconded/disappeared with my daughter when she was 3 and stayed in hiding for 13 years. I continued making my payments through my court order wage assignment until May 30, 2002 when I recieved a court order quashing my child support wage assignment initiated by my ex and the child support division. I went to the Superior Court Clerk and Child Support and asked who do I send the money to? What does this mean? What do I do? And they all told me, I do nothing, I pay nothing< and that the case was closed.

Well 8 years later I find my daughter at the age of 17 on MySpace (most exciting day of my life)she comes to live with me for almost a year then goes back to live by her mom. Now my daughter is 19 and my ex is coming after me for back child support. And the child support division is telling me I have to pay the back support from May 30, 2002 to now plus interest. This is bull... I was told not to pay, I was told the case was closed and I have court papers quashing the wage assignment. What did I do wrong? Why do I have to pay this back child support after I was told to stop by the courts and the child support division. This is so wrong I did not just loss my daughter childhood but now I am getting screwed by the system and my ex. I am not the one who went into hiding, I am not the one who order the quash of wages, I am not the one who closed the case. I love my childern and I wish the system would stop thinking men are money bags and not capable of lvoing there children. How is it that my ex can hide my daughter for 13 years, refuse child support then come back after 13 years and get rewarded by the state with my hard earnd. And all I get is nothing! I lost all my daughters childhood thats all I got.
