Non-custodial Parent's Wife
The Court did not acknowledge that the child had lived with her father (even though he was the non-custodial Parent on paper) for most of her childhood. The Custodial parent did not contribute one penny yet she sued my husband for child support when the child moved in with her Grandmother because it wasn't CONVENIENT to live with the mother (custodial parent.) The child moved back in with the mother the DAY of the court hearing. The mother also brought the CHILD to the hearing. Even though my husband was paying $300 dollars a month by verbal agreement, she wanted more. Hindsight's 20/20, get custody of the child if they live with you. Verbal agreements aren't worth a Buffalo nickel. I have had to go to work full time because of the amount of child support and health insurance deducted from my husband's paycheck. He couldn't pay the bills without me working. The Mother only works part-time. Her greediness affects me too. The rates are too high.
