Passport and Credit Report

by Albert
(Texas)

I have been dealing with the Attorney Generals Office for almost a year now. They took me to court for back child support. When we went to court and little did they know that my son was incarcerated in another state for 14 felonies with his gang buddies, which is mother allowed. They asked for a reset. A month and half later we went to court, after they had asked for the reset, they didn't show, I waited for 2 hours and the judge called, paged and sent the bailiff to look for them. They still didn't show, so the judge heard the case.

After hearing my eveidence the judge suspended my support until my son is released from prison, in 10 years, the order was signed by the judge. The Attorney General filed a Motion for New Trial and it was set for a hearing. On the hearing date, they again failed to show up, the judge denied the Motion for New Trial. Now they filed a Motion for Reconsideration. Hey, they had there chance to be heard and didn't bother to even call the court that they couldn't make it or anything. I have lost two job offers with the goverment, since they still have an excessive amount showing on my credit report of about $17,000, eventhough the judge ordered I only owe $2600.

They want to hold us to the order that was signed, send us to jail if we don't pay, yet they don't want follow the Court Order. Not to metion that since I owe over $2500 I can't get a passport. I used to only owe $1600, which was below the Federal Law of $2500 for a passport and the Texas Attorney General Office refused to send in the form to release my passport. When I contacted them, they told me "pay us the $1600 and we will release it, but not till then". Not only am I being extorted by the Attorney General Office of Texas, but a prisoner in my own country.
