Sad father missing his children

I have two kids boy and girl. I was taking to court by my girl friend who is the mother of my kids for child support, she was granted from me to pay 120 a month.

At that time I had a good job, but as thing go wrong without your knowledge I was laid off. Now I find myself out of work, unemployment is no more and I have my mother helping to send half of what I was requested to pay, she is on a tight budget herself, but willing to help me.
Now my mother has payed alot of money, so my children can visit me from Florida, but I now find out that the mother is not letting them come, even though she agreed to before tickets were bought.

Her statement is that she is applying to walfare,my mother is going to loose that money because they are non-refundable. The kids do not live with their mother, but with their grand-mother for the past 7 years, she was recently married and not caring for them, my kids are age 16 and 14 she says she is not getting any money though my mother is sending it to the Florida Disbursement Unit...she claims she and her new husband are unemployed and they need goverment help...this person is very selfish......I do not know what to...I want to see my kids. She has told the kids that the judge said they are not to visit me, because she is going to be arrested...I don't know if this is true..can a judge state this even if I am sending some child support....??

Please help...

GETTING OFF YOUR BUTT
by: MOM WHO LOVES HER KIDS

In the state of montana a girl at the age of 13 can tell the judge with whom she would like the reside with and for boys its 14. So if you really want your children why dont you do something abiout it? The only reason I can firgure out why they are not with you is because you can not have custody? Forgive me if I am wrong, but if one truely want there children, one would climb any montain. I got a job scrubbing toliets janitory work for a elementry school. Just so I had a way to help support my daughter I did what ever job I could find. Flippen burgers or schrubbing tolets isnt a degreationg job it pays and someone has to do it. So why are you not taking what ever job you can till you get back on your feet??? Get a job, Get out of moms house, and GET your kids... GOOD LUCK.

court ordered visitation?
by: Anonymous

Do you have a court Order? Does your court Order specify visitation? If it does, then you notify her when you will be picking up the kids, make sure its in line with your court order, notify her by email, certified mail, something that you have proof, if the kids are not there, or she refuses to let you see them then file Contempt of court papers on her, Judges do not like this at all and sometimes custody will even switch hands because of it.

by: Anonymous

to the asshole that said just pay up and shut up in so many words in the beginning of the comments section, you must be some bitter ex wife..and there's another wrd I'd use to refer to you, but I'll remain a gentleman...but in case you haven't been watching the news or any other sort of informational program, we are ina recession you nitwit..and plenty of people are out of work, or have had thier pay reduced etc....he may live with his mother, and granted she is helping him, but he isn't the only person currently living under those unfortunate circumstances...and the tickets are non refundable you dolt in case you didn't catch that...and if I sould bitter, it's because I am, I have an ex wife wo pulls that same crap..except my divorce wasd granted as I was headed to active duty and didn't even know she had filed for divorce or custody of my children god bless the family courts while you're out serving your country, they somehow find a way to put a knife in your back...damn the jihadists..it seems family court judges have the answers when it comes getting the money that is garunteed to them by the federal govt' in the case of child support enforcement, so please if you don't kow all the facts or at least understand that he isn't the only person struggling currently, please don't us all a favor and keep your narrow minded opinions to yourself..asshole

You can't be there for your children if you can't provide for them get a job two if you have to start paying full amount of support and if the mother is as bad as you say and their safety is an issue read those book fight for children find away it's not easy but is possible won't happen over night but complaining about it isn't going to solve it

Go get yourself a job
by: Anonymous

If you love your children, the best way to show them by the action which is providing your eligible support (money, care, time) >don't just stay free at your mom house with all of your excuses.

BOOKS ARE KNOWLEDGE
by: Anonymous

Like I said in my previous post, child support effects the whole family. You need to purchase books from the book store and educate yourself on fathers rights and file court papers. The mother of your children has failed her obligations and the children should not be raised by the grandmother. You should file court papers for full custody for the children. The court may evaluate both parents who is fit to raise these children. How is she applying for public aid? The children are being raised by the grandmother. The children have to be living with her to qualify for public aid. The book stores have plenty books on child support and also books on how to file your court papers.
