My husband and I have been in litigation for 7years. We have full custody of twin boys since they were 9mo old. The bio-parents were abusing/neglectful/and just walked away. We are the Grandparents. The children know no other mom/dad but us since they were 9mo old. The bio-mother was finally term on June 6 of this year 2008. The bio-father who up until 06 was in and out of jail. We went to court in June of 08 with contempt charges of none payment of child support. The bio-father files modification of child support he was behind 4300.00 and plus he owed over 6 years of medical bills. This is what we got. nothing!! The children know him as Joseph, but that is the way he wanted it from the start. He left a 22.hr job and took a 10.hr job with a temp agency so he could get his c/s reduced which he did. He has to pay 155 extra for the back pay.

THE WORST OF ALL OF THIS IS THAT THE JUDGE ORDERED STANDARD VISITATION FOR SOMEONE WHO BLOWS IN AND OUT OF TWO LITTLE BOYS LIFE. THESE CHILDREN HAVE NEVER SPENT ONE NIGHT AWAY FROM HOME WITH US. HE HAS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND, AND WAS RUN OUT OF PLANO TEXAS FOR INDECENCAY WITH A 15YR OLD AND THEN LEFT FOR HENDERSON TEXAS WHERE HE FOUND ANOTHER 15YR OLD. BUT NONE OF THIS WAS IMPORTANT. WE HAD AN EXPERT WITNESS WHO HAS BEEN THE BOYS COUNSELOR SINCE THEY WERE 20MO OLD. THE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO SEXUAL ACTIVITY WHILE WITH THIS PERSON. SO, YOU SEE THE "WHAT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD IS NOTHING BUT WORDS IN THE EYES OF THE LAW. OH, THE BIO-FATHER IS OUR SON. SO THESE CHILDREN WILL BE IN THERAPY FOR A WHILE.
