Simply Pissed
I was taken to court by my girlfriend. She lives in my home, goes to school in the car that I drive, does't have a job, has two children by her ex-husand who isn't paying child support. The court gave her custody of my daughet althoguh she had nothing to provide for or support our daughter. She hadn't worked in over three years. Ok, I agree I was studid and did too much for her. So now she has her degree and working on her masters. We will go to court soon enought for child support and I expect to get ripped a new one. She knows her rights (or should I say the % I am required to pay). It doesn't matter that $1000 will pay for more the child support. I thought was child support not girlfriend shopping money. No one supervises where the money goes (not the children) only that it reaches the mother. I am a capable father that can do more for my daughter. The system is really unfair and shoudl be changed. I hear that other states give the child or chilren to the better of the two parents. Other states split the child support when joint custody is ordered. Where is the mothers financial responsibility to the child. I will have my daugher nearly more than the mother on an annual basis with extended weekened, summer, holidays, ect. But I am stuck will the entire expense to raise my child. This system is fair or equal.
