Single mother non-custodial

I have been paying for counseling, child support and visitation for 7 years. My ex is the custodial parent. He was told to attend counseling and never did. Kept changing the rules and never got into any trouble from the courts even though he did not do what he was told. I have paid for everything possible until my business folded, I had to move back with my parents and I now I am behind in support. I have consistently paid what ever I could. I have a minimum wage job, support taken out, the court won't give me a public defender, I can't get the support reduced and I am told I will be sent to jail. He shows with any attorney and I can't get any help at all. What a joke!!

SINGLE MOTHER NON-CUSTODIAL
by: Anonymous

Sure I'm am one of a rare cases you will ever hear about and have been going through the emotional heartaches of not being able to get visitations with my son for over 5 years. Yes the Texas Child Support system really abuses the non-custodial parents. I have been ordered to pay child support and have been since I divorced my ex husband. We'll after 15,000 spent on 2 attorney's and fees I have not even gotten the chance to have my standard visitations in place. Now my ex-husband has racked up 12,000 in child medical care expenses for god knows what, in addition to the child support I pay I think it's unfiar since that is half of my yearly net income.

I'm remarried now and have a little one on the way and I will be damn if the state and courts will try to bleed money out of me. I feel your heartache and pain.
