I am 22 years old and I have a 2 year old a 1 year old and a 3 month old. Needless to say my high school sweetheart and my then husband left me for my best friend...they are now married and she is with child. He works for her parents and scams the system...having them make his checks out to her. I told the state about this and they cant do anything! I haven't received a penny in months! Even though I am only ordered to get less than $200 a month! On three kids!! That doesn't even buy me diapers. He denies paternity on my youngest so I have to wait for the state to help with the DNA test...which is taking forever!!!!!!!! I had to fac in a bunch of papers...I did. and still nothing! On top of that I said he couldn't see the kids because of his violent past, alcohol abuse and drug use...and the lack of child support payments...AND I GOT HELD IN CONTEMPT! ME!!
I think the attorney generals office is a joke. I am a college student and we are having to write an essay about something we feel strongly about...

Mine is the attorney general child support division!

whats sad is i know more than one person in this situation. not this exact situation...but almost. its sickening how the man can walk away and yet when seen in publics view...a single mother with a few kids in her arms looks like the "slut" or whatever disgusting word they want to use. while the man who not only helped make them, but the man who made the empty promise to be a father roams the streets with his next "victim" so to speak. where is the justice? when will it ever be about the children? raising three kids on your own? you go girl!!! but i hear you...the father will never step up if he hasnt yet. he will always choose himself and his own wellbeing and happiness over his childrens...which is nauseating...

in response to a comment written below...you said child support and visitation dont go hand in hand...but she said he is violent and an addict...why should she let him have the kids?? and did you know IN THE STATE OF TEXAS IF SHE IS AWARE OF A HABIT OR ADDICTION THAT HE HAS AND ALLOWS THE KIDS TO GO TO HIS HOUSE AND SOMETHING HAPPENS WHILE HE HAS THE KIDS....SHE CAN BE LIABLE AND HELD RESPONSABLE?????????????? I AGREE WITH THE SINGLE MOM....ADDICTS SHOULDNT GET THEIR KIDS!!!

its sad the selfishness some men have. but men cant usually think on their own and when he has a mother and a wife who are in his head telling him and persuading him to stay away from his kids...its sad. but yet again its probably for the best considering what a loser he is. i agree with the others...just write him off. i understand youre trying to be strong but its hard not to be bitter...a man can walk away. well so can moms...but most moms dont because they have morals and an undying love for their children. the kids will grow up hating him for abandoning them. my kids did it with their father. keep your head up... he will get his.

maybe his mother shoulda focused on being a mother instead of doing the things she did...i know his mother...and seriously she should be in jail for her drug habit. im sorry for what he did to you and those kids but you are better off without him. hes doing the same thing to his wife now...sweet justice lol. xo

um no it isnt. i personally know this young lady and although this is very old...there is still truth to the entire thing. the paternity if her youngest showed she was his...and the loser hasnt tried to see his children in over three years. hes out cheating on his wife, boosing, whoring, doing drugs...so yeah...! and his wife is just as blind and sad. its actually disturbing the lengths a woman will go to to ensure her husband doesnt see his children. jealousy is effecting many young lives. like i said...sad.

hater lol i agree. why do all single moms have to be labeled as strippers or sluts? i think its bold that she has three kids and is doing the right thing. taking a man for child support isnt not having a life. its the right thing to do. kids arent cheap like you said and i think its bogus for a father to be able to up and leave his responsabilities and do as he pleases while the mother is "stuck" (so to speak) with the life style change and all the hard ships....and yet shes the one who gets labeled? not nice.

the situation of the single mother isnt anyones concern and by attacking her i would say that you are someone knowing her personally. maybe you should take a step back and realize how hard it is to raise kids on your own. especially when the father is a low life and hasnt seen his kids in three years by him and his wifes doing. she is doing no one harm by raising her kids on her own and i do know her personally so i can vouche in the fact that she is doing an amazing job! she is now 25 with three kids and is doing a great job!! if there were a mother of the year i award, she would be up for it! her kids are beautiful and are advanced in so many ways because...instead of beig out man whoring and stealing husbands like some people...she is at home seven days a week with those kids! on top of a full time job and school...she still manages to be a full time wonderful mommy! her and her gorgeous successful long term boyfriend are raising those kids beautifully!!! if i were a single mom, i would be jealous of how great they are doing and how well she does! i have never seen a single mom and three kids be so unrealisticly happy. so without any help from the loser that she left...which was to benefit the kids because he was a loser...she is doing perfect!!! so take ur jealousy and your jabs elsewhere. she is too busy living the dream in her perfect life to wonder what your thoughts or ideals are. you would think after four years you would leave her be. but i guess jealousy is a disease and the lotion is really exspnsive.

Child support and vistitation do not go hand in hand. The father will get his visitation, even if he does not pay his child support. The minute you deny him his rights you will be held in contempt.
Ask the CSE to subpoena the bank accounts and the payroll records of your X and his employers to see monies transferring hands and not reported. Ask that they lien bank accounts, real estate and personal property attached to your x. If the non-custodial is working for his new inlaws and they are not reporting his earnings, then they are in violation of the law as an employer. A tax ID # and social security # should be attached to all earnings. If they are in complicity of hiding earnings, then they need to be investigated and penalized under the law.

I'm a young mother, 24 with a 6, 3,2 and 6 month old and I hate that because of bad woman that take advantage of the system that a good one has to suffer. I had two kids form a different man wasn't married and haven't lost a penny!! Thank God!!! but I met and fell in love with a wonderful man that truly loves my kids and takes care of us so well. He is my first and only husband!!! He has child support chasing after him but he has done right and they screwed him over. He met a girl out of state right out of high school and out of wanting to fit in hooked up with the whore of the town. He was still a virgin and only knew her for 4 months. when he came back to Texas she called and said she was pregnant and she was only going to keep it for child support. He was just happy that he had a child. This was in 04. She came to visit him in 05 only to get his social security number for child support then left without saying a word for over a year. As soon as she found out he moved in with me she harassed us constantly. He paid all his back child support plus some and Texas tried to say he owed $1800 more. And they took money away from my kids to give to her so now I am doing everything to keep him from paying her. See he doesn't deserve this we tried to work with the oag after he lost his job but they acted like they didn't care. He is an excellent father and I work and hold down a business just to protect him from her and I will till I die. Because she is a lost cause that doesn't deserve a penny. And for what happened to you is wrong that ex of yours will be punished but not from the state. I believe if my husband was so wrong he would get punished too but God knows otherwise. I would help some one like you any day. But not a broad that does drugs and only cares about herself. I fight for whats right and in your case it was wrong. There are deadbeat dads but there are also dead beat moms too. And will be rewarded in life because you take care of your kids just remember that.

I don't want to sound rude in any way. First off 3 children and your only 22. You kids these days need to realize that all of you need to live your life before bringing a child into this world. Yes children are a gift from God but come on you as a collage student yourself should relize that it is hard going to school and raising children. Now for you ex he should be punished, but he also is not mentally ready for children. I also bet after awhile he will be tired of this girl to. I want to tell you congrates on going to collage stick with it, yes its going to be hard but, in the long run you can get a great job and provide a better life for you children this childsupport system is very flawed for people on both sides of the fence.

22 years old with three kids? instead of child support maybe the state should provide you with birth control. get a life of your own, take care of your kids and don't depend on him to help you. and make sure you report all those earnings you make from stripping too
